Meet Our Chef.

Born and raised in Spain, Chef Cristóbal Díaz discovered his passion for cooking at an early age, inspired by the love and care his grandmother put into every dish she prepared. Although his family was not part of the hospitality industry, that early influence shaped his philosophy of cooking with emotion and purpose.

During his youth, Cristóbal spent his time between school and skateboarding, a discipline he practiced for over 25 years. Skateboarding taught him perseverance, discipline, and resilience—values that later became essential in his culinary career. As the physical demands of long kitchen shifts increased, he stepped away from skating to fully dedicate himself to his true passion: cooking.

In 1996, he began his professional training at the School of Hospitality in Seville, where he earned an advanced degree in Gastronomy Studies. Since then, his learning has never stopped. He continues to grow through courses, lectures, and ongoing culinary education. Cristóbal firmly believes that success in the kitchen goes beyond technique and experience—it also requires a positive mindset and a genuine passion for the craft.

His international career has taken him to cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, London, Tokyo, Rome, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Punta del Este, Beirut, Dallas, Cancún, Puerto Vallarta, and Guadalajara, where he has worked as an Executive Chef, Private Chef, and Corporate Culinary Trainer. He has also collaborated with some of Spain’s most renowned chefs during high-profile culinary events, pop-ups, and international openings.

Since 2023, Chef Cristóbal Díaz has been based in Guadalajara, leading the kitchens of a luxury hotel while offering exclusive private dining experiences that blend Spanish tradition, contemporary technique, and highly personalized service.

Starting in 2026, Chef Cristóbal Díaz will take on the culinary leadership of the restaurants across nine hotels belonging to one of the most prominent hotel chains in the United States, further strengthening his international presence in luxury hospitality and fine dining.

A devoted father of two, an avid traveler, and a lover of music, art, and urban culture, Cristóbal sees gastronomy as a powerful form of human connection. For him, cooking is about emotion, sharing, and creating unforgettable memories beyond the plate.
